Problem. Installation of the SSMS 2012 tools remapped my control-1,2,3,4,5,6, etc keyboard shortcuts I had setup. I'd like to recommend that these new features not be mapped to those keys or require the user to map themselves.

Small question. I can't find the option when setting up shortcuts to setup a shortcut for the "Format SQL" button. What is the command description for this?

Hi,
The command name for Formatter is: SSMSBoost.Connect.Format
You can define shortcut for it in Settings->"Shortcuts & Macros"

Could you please also describe me more exactly, which shortcut was reset by SSMSBoost install ? What do you mean by "control-1,2,3,4,5,6" ? Ctrl+1... ?

The default script keyboard mapped shorcuts in SSMS that let you type a phrase to script such as

CONTROL-3 = "select * from " and then it appends the table name. I think sp_help and other shorcuts are commonly used. I had to go into the keyboard mappings and reset mappings as the SSMSBoost had changed them to the "send to excel file" and other grid export options.

Does this clarify?

Note: I tried the shorcut for SSMS.Connect.format, and triggered with CONTROL-SHIFT-F, and it doesn't do anything. Any other suggestion?

I am confused: We do not change this config section of SSMS at all - this is separate part in SSMS, that we have never accessed. Could you please send me a screenshort of your dialogue with your new entries (or maybe even with some of those, that came after installation of SSMSBoost) ? It would be very helpful. Use support()ssmsboost.com - that is also me :)

Another confusion: it really does not work. Currently I do not undestand, why other shortcuts that we reassign (F5, F6) work, but this one do not (also also some other, like Ctrl-O). We will investigate it and fix as soon as possible.

And thank you for pointing out both problems !

Please download v2.5 - issue with Ctrl-Shift-F is now fixed.
I guess that you have international version of SSMS. There were some "specialities" that we have fixed.
